$$ds = \sqrt{1 + y’^2}dx$$

$$\int_a^b \sqrt{1 + y’^2}dx$$

$$K = \frac{|y’’|}{(1 + y’^2)^{\frac{3}{2}}}$$

$$K \approx |y’’| (|y’| « 1)$$

$$\rho = \frac{1}{K} = \frac{(1 + y’^2)^{\frac{3}{2}}}{|y’’|}$$

$$|\int_a^b f(x)dx| \le \int_a^b |f(x)|dx$$
